Valdemar Jewellers has been serving the Ottawa community for over 29 years with our flagship store at the Greenbank Hunt Club Centre. Valdemar Jewellers has become the destinaton store for truly unique and beautifully made gold and silver jewellery.

Our style is defined by jewellery that is high quality, fairly priced and eclectic in design. We have established a solid reputation built on trust and good value.

Every item brought to Valdemar Jewellers for whatever reason, no matter how small, is individually inspected and worked upon by a trained professional. Treating each treasure with the utmost care only a family business can offer, we strive to do our best so our customers can be assured of the finest possible workmanship.

All our work is done on the premises. Valdemar Jewellers has a certified gemologist and a designer on site. We are more than happy to assist in creating that special, unique piece for you!

Diamonds

The hardest stone in the world need not be the hardest to buy. Diamonds come in various grades and colours and the search for your perfect stone can be a daunting one. At Valdemar Jewellers we will be happy to answer any of your questions regarding the purchase of a diamond. Speak to our consultant and learn the difference between an "average" stone and one of great quality. Ask about our diamond guarantee and inquire into our trade up program. We carry a large selection of unique styles of diamond rings.

Fine Custom Designs

Are you looking for something special for yourself or a loved one? Valdemar Jewellers can create just the piece you are looking for. Ask about our special carving or sculpting in precious metals. Simply phone or drop by one of our two convenient locations and book an appointment with our experienced design consultant.

You can custom design any piece of jewelry you desire from scratch, or combine any ready made setting with a pre-cut or custom cut stone, even mount your own stones if that is your wish.

All creations are made on the premises by a skilled master craftsman in silver, gold (10K, 14K, 18K, 22K) or platinum . Blend your ideas with the expertise of our custom craftsmen and create something unique you can really call your own - and remember, all estimates and drawings for remodeling are free.

Repairs of All Kinds

Most fine jewelry is received as a gift or inheritance. It is a shame when one of these sentimental pieces becomes damaged over time. When accidents happen Valdemar Jewellers are experts in working with all gold and silver jewelry as well as stone replacements. We also take special pride in our ability to restore damaged antique pieces to their original state.

RepairDo you have a complex or difficult repair to be made on old or new jewelry? No problem, challenges like these are one of our specialties.

Lost stones? With a large assortment of ready to mount gems Valdemar Jewellers will find one that will be matched as close as humanly possible to your original. If a ready made stone is unavailable, or you want something really special, we also cut and polish our own loose stones to create custom designs to order. If you have any problems related to retipping or plating we can do that too.

At Valdemar Jewellers you can expect the best repair work at prices so reasonable that they will astound you, and our estimates are of course free.

Insurance Appraisals / Insurance Replacement

As respected professionals in the field of gems and precious metals, all Valdemar Jewellers appraisals are modestly priced and accepted by the insurance industry. Written appraisals can take anywhere from a day to two weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece, but never take more than 10 working days. Verbal appraisals will be given upon request, but are for personal interest only and will not be accepted by insurers should a loss occur. All formal appraisals include a colour photograph and are prepared by a certified gemologist.
